Dartmouth defeated Harvard in the final match of the Ivy 7s Championships 41-14. The event was being hosted by The Boston Irish Wolfhounds and Harvard Rugby at the Irish Culture Center.
Brown, the Ivy reigning champion, lost their chance to repeat as Ivy Conference champs, a title they earned in the spring of 2011, after losing to Harvard on what appeared to be a match ending winning try. The referee called a forward pass and Harvard held on for a 14-12 victory.
Dartmouth defended their national CRC championship by defeating their own second side 31-7, who made it through to the final round of four by defeating Yale and Princeton in pool play. The Dartmouth 1st VII breezed through their pool defeating Columbia, Cornell and Harvard.
The tournament featured 1st VII sides from the schools in the Ivy League. The 2nd VII tournament featured five teams competing for a 2nd VII title. Brown B took the Cup and Harvard B took the Bowl.

The event was sponsored by Boathouse Sports, Royall Lyme and H2H and the Boston Irish Wolfhounds. Admission was $5.00 at the gate, students and kids were admitted for free. The Irish Culture Center is located at 200 New Boston Drive in Canton, MA.
