Brown University won the Ivy Rugby Wildcard D1AA final today beating Princeton 27-14 in the championship.  All 8 Ivy teams participated this weekend. "A big congratulations to Brown for being the Ivy D1AA champions and we all wish them the very best of luck moving forward in the Round of 16," stated Richard Lopacki, Princeton University Director of Rugby.

The preliminary round of the 2014 Ivy Rugby playoffs took place April 12 at Princeton University. The winner, played today between Brown and Princeton, will represent Ivy Rugby in the USA D1AA championship round of 16.

Dartmouth dominated Penn by a score of 38-nil in the Ivy 15s Semifinal match in Hanover, NH. Kevin Clark led all scorers with three trys. The win allows Dartmouth to host the Ivy 15s Championship next Saturday.

Harvard defeated Cornell 19-0 in the Ivy 15s Championship Semi-Finals. The match was played at Cornell's home pitch at 220 Pine Tree Road on the campus of Cornell University. Harvard took a 5-0 lead into halftime before scoring once more than sealing the match with three kicks for post in the second frame.

Game On: For the 9th consecutive year, Faded Red Rugby is forming a Z-Side squad to take on the New York 7s Rugby Tournament. This event is huge, and involves more than 130 clubs coming together to celebrate 55 straight years of 7s rugby. Dartmouth hosted the second round of Ivy North Sevens today on Brophy and Battle Fields. The team returned to full strength in preparation for the Ivy Sevens Championships next weekend at Princeton. Harvard, Yale and Brown squads as well as the two Dartmouth sides took part in the day’s events. The Dartmouth 1st and 2nd VII went undefeated on the day, blanking all opponents faced. The day culminated with Dartmouth defeating Brown 31-0 in the finals of the top bracket.

The Cornell Men's Rugby team was recently featured in the Cornell Daily Sun. Staff Writer Edward McNelis profiled the Big Red, detailing their storied history as well as their recent success in the article.

Cornell held off a charging Penn team on the road to win their match, 31-24. Solid play by the Big Red as well as Benno Sorenson's clutch conversions allowed Cornell to stay on top despite an excellent effort from a dangerous Penn squad. Cornell finishes their season undefeated and on top of the Ivy South's standings.
