October 24, 2015

Cornell defeated Brown at home on the sixth weekend of Ivy XVs competition by a score of 68-15. Cornell led 34-10 at the break.

Pumba Venosa scored two first half trys for Cornell as they took a 27-7 lead into the half over Penn. Venosa made it a hat trick in the second half as Cornell went on to win by a 23 point margin.

October 03, 2015

Cornell (1-0) hosts Dartmouth (0-0). Cornell led by an erly 2nd half margin of 19-5 before Dartmouth came roaring back to score 36 unanswered points.

September 19, 2015

Cornell defeated Columbia on homecoming weekend in Ithaca by a score of 26-11. Cornell scored 4 tries and converted in three out of four attempts. Columbia crossed the try line once in addition to making two penalty kicks.

On September 6, Cornell University hosted Colgate for the annual Claret Mug match.

Things did not look promising last September for Cornell University men’s rugby. Big Red started the fall fifteens season with a crushing loss to Dartmouth, and were then handed a defeat by Columbia. The losses were unexpected after an unbeaten 2013 fall season. 

April 18, 2015

Princeton University captured the 2015 Ivy Rugby Conference Women's Seven-a-Side Championship over Brown University, 22-15, in a wide-open display of offense at Rickerson Field on the West Windsor Campus on Saturday.

The Cornell men travel to New York City March 21 for the annual Four Leaf Fifteens Tournament on Randall's Island. The tournament takes place on fields 70-91 at the Southern end of the complex facing Manhattan.

The eight men's rugby squads of the Ivy League descended on Princeton University's Rickerson Field last weekend for the fall 7s championships. When the dust settled over the long shadows of a November afternoon in Central Jersey, Dartmouth held the cup, flanked in the winner's circle by runners-up Yale and Penn.

An exciting weekend of play in Hanover saw hard-fought contests—and at least one upset—on the way to the crowning of a victor in the women's Ivy 15s. When the dust settled Brown would hoist the Cup as 2014 Ivy Rugby Champion.

Cornell traveled across New England to Cambridge, Massachusetts to take on Harvard this past Saturday. The Big Red got rolling early and kept scoring often on the way to a 51-12 victory.

Cornell took on the University of Pennsylvania this Saturday at home for Cornell Homecoming. In front of larger than usual crowd of fans, friends, and alumni, the Big Red put on a strong showing, beating the Fighting Quakers 41-22.

Cornell added a second Ivy league win to their record on Saturday, defeating a persistent and talented Princeton team.

Cornell earned their first Ivy League victory this past weekend (4 Oct 2014) over Brown by a score of 23-16. 

Cornell rugby alumni, family and guests are invited to a game day BBQ and pig roast at 12 pm on Saturday, Oct. 18.
